Cozy Storytime is an audio-first family storytelling experience. Parents, grandparents, and other loved ones can record stories and memories in their own voices for children to enjoy.

Families can also listen to Cozy Storytime Originals and relaxing Sleep Sounds. Family-recorded stories are shared privately inside a Family Circle.

No app-store download is required. Cozy Storytime is a mobile-first web app. Open app.cozystorytime.com in your phone, tablet, or computer browser.

If you plan to record, use a device with a working microphone and allow microphone access when your browser asks.

1. Open Cozy Storytime and select Account.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Cozy Storytime will send you a short sign-in code.
4. Enter that code to finish signing in.

You do not need to create or remember a password. Use the same email address each time you sign in.

You can explore Cozy Originals, Sleep Sounds, and recording prompts without signing in. You must sign in to join or manage a Family Circle, save a recording, or listen to private family stories.

No. Children do not need separate accounts. An adult can manage the Family Circle and start stories or Sleep Sounds for them.

1. Sign in and make sure the correct Family Circle is active.
2. Select Record in Cozy Storytime.
3. Tap the large microphone button.
4. Allow microphone access if your browser asks.
5. Tell your story or family memory.
6. Use Pause and Resume whenever needed.
7. Select I’m Finished when you are done.
8. Select Preview to listen or Re-record to start over.
9. Select Save.
10. Add a title, choose Story or Memory, and enter the storyteller’s name.
11. Optionally add who the recording is for and a short description.
12. Select Save story.

The saved recording will appear in the active Family Circle’s Library.

1. Open the Record screen.
2. Find Need an idea? near the bottom.
3. Select Browse to view prompts or Surprise Me for a random idea.
4. Choose All, Imagination, or Memory to filter the prompts.
5. Select Record This Story to begin.
6. Select Another Prompt if you want a different idea.

The selected prompt remains visible while you record, so you can use it as a gentle guide.

1. Open Library.
2. Find the story under Family Stories or Family Memories.
3. Open the story’s management menu.
4. Choose to edit its details, select different built-in artwork, or delete it.

A Parent can manage Family Circle recordings. A Storyteller can manage recordings they created themselves.

Deleting a recording is permanent. There is currently no trash or restore option.

A Family Circle is a private family group. Members can record and listen to the stories and memories saved inside that Circle.

Only invited Family Circle members can listen to its private family recordings. Cozy Originals and Sleep Sounds are separate from private Family Circle content.

1. Sign in and select Account.
2. If you belong to more than one Family Circle, select the Circle you want to invite them into.
3. Find Your Family Circle invite link.
4. Select Copy invite link.
5. Text or privately share the link with your family member.

Cozy Storytime also displays a shorter invite code. A recipient can paste that code into the Have an invite? area in Account.

Anyone who receives the general link can use it to ask to join, so share it only with people you want inside your Family Circle.

1. Sign in and open Account.
2. Select the correct active Family Circle.
3. Find Send a personal invite.
4. Enter the recipient’s email address.
5. Optionally enter their name.
6. Optionally add a personal written note.
7. Optionally select Record a Voice Message to add a warm invitation in your own voice.
8. Select Send invite email.

Personal email invitations expire after 14 days. Until the recipient joins, the invitation appears under Pending invitations.

1. In the personal invitation form, select Record a Voice Message.
2. Select Record and allow microphone access.
3. Record a short welcome. About 30–60 seconds is recommended.
4. Use Pause and Resume if needed.
5. Select Stop when finished.
6. Select Preview to listen or Re-record to try again.
7. Select Save voice message.
8. Finish the invitation and select Send invite email.

The recipient can choose to play your message before joining. Voice invitations never play automatically.

1. Open the invitation link.
2. If the invitation includes a voice message, select Play Message to hear it.
3. If not already signed in, enter an email address and use the short code Cozy Storytime sends.
4. Select Join the Family Circle.
5. Choose Record Your First Story or open the Library.

Joining adds the person to the Family Circle without removing any other Circles they already belong to. The newly joined Circle becomes their active Circle.

Ask the sender for a new invitation. Personal invitations expire after 14 days and can be used only for their intended joining flow. A sender can also cancel a pending invitation from Account.

To cancel a personal invitation:

1. Open Account.
2. Find Pending invitations.
3. Select Cancel beside the invitation.

To replace the general Family Circle link:

1. Open the correct Family Circle in Account.
2. Select Make a new link.

Only a Parent can make a new general link. Doing so disables the old link and cancels all pending email invitations for that Circle.

Both roles can invite family members, record stories, and listen to Family Circle recordings.

• Parents can rename the Family Circle, replace its general invite link, and manage Family Circle recordings.
• Storytellers can record and manage their own recordings.

People who join through an invitation begin as Storytellers.

1. Open Account.
2. Find Active Family Circle.
3. Select the Family Circle you want to use.

Your role is shown separately for each Circle. Recording, saving, listening, invitations, and Library management use the currently active Circle.

Finish an active recording or other in-progress action before switching Circles.

1. Sign in and select the correct active Family Circle.
2. Open Library.
3. Expand Family Stories or Family Memories.
4. Select the round play button beside a recording.
5. Select it again to pause.

You can collapse each Library section to make the page easier to browse. Collapsing the section containing a playing story stops that story.

Cozy Originals are stories provided by Cozy Storytime. Open Library, expand Cozy Originals, and select the play button beside a story.

Cozy Originals are available for immediate listening, while stories recorded by loved ones remain the heart of the Family Circle experience.

1. Select Sleep.
2. Choose Rain, Ocean, Babbling Brook, White Noise, Brown Noise, or Fan.
3. Set the volume.
4. Choose a 15-minute, 30-minute, 60-minute, or continuous timer.
5. Select Play.
6. Select Pause whenever needed.

If you select a different sound while one is playing, Cozy Storytime switches to the newly selected sound.

1. Open Library.
2. Turn on Play Sleep Sounds Next.
3. Play a story.

When the story finishes, Cozy Storytime starts Ocean with a 30-minute timer.

Family stories and memories are private to members of the Family Circle where they were saved. They do not appear in the public Cozy Originals library.

Share invitation links only with people you want to add to your Family Circle.

First-time users may see an optional welcome on the Home screen. It never plays automatically and can be skipped.

To hear it later, open Account and select About Cozy Storytime.

1. Sign in and open Account.
2. Select Give Feedback.
3. Complete and submit the short feedback form.

Cozy Storytime may also gently ask for feedback after a family story finishes. That prompt can be dismissed.

Cozy Storytime can play through a compatible device or connected headphones. CozyPhones provide a soft, comfortable option for bedtime, travel, and quiet listening, but the web app is the storytelling experience itself.

Cozy Storytime currently does not have a subscription requirement. The focus is on helping families record, share, and enjoy stories in the voices they love.
